CLHS FFA Team Named State Champion

A team made up of three seniors from Canyon Lake High became the 2019 Texas FFA Marketing Plan state champion on May 3, at Sam Houston State University.

With their new title, Kenzy Hoffmann, Makenzie Knipe and Mia Smith advanced to the national competition, which takes place during the National FFA Convention in late October.

The trio created an eight-page marketing plan, a 15-minutes marketing pitch and answered 10 minutes of rigorous questions regarding the agriculture business of its choice. The team’s plan and presentation featured a local trail-riding company.

The CLHS FFA adviser and agriculture teacher is Amanda Custy-Schaas.

Congratulations!
